I've kind of just been adding dates myself throughout my chapters and highlighting them to keep track— obviously to be edited out afterward— but 100% agree with this.

Visual timelines are always easiest to keep track of the storyline. Moving events around, even better— also helps when past events are added afterward, or changes are made, or other things need to be added.

There are few things with which I struggle more than the timeline.
