Allow additional AI context to be added on the fly

When working in the Tinker chat window, it would be nice to be able to include snippets (which may contain notes from elsewhere or bits from previous Tinker chats) as part of the current discussion.
A workaround for now is to attach something like the following to a custom prompt and then executing that prompt:
Our discussion is going to be about the following notes (which in the discussion will be referred to as the "notes"), keeping in mind that this is a work in progress, and that later elements in the notes may supersede earlier ones. Please remember and analyse all the notes below and give me a brief summary of them.
<notes>{snippets.get("Notes (original)")}</notes>
<notes>{snippets.get("World")}</notes>

We just launched a new prompt system with our latest update: https://go.novelcrafter.com/update/2025-05
Prompts can now have custom inputs, and the system prompts have been updated to allow snippets, chapters, acts and more!

I would like to chat with an entire chapter (all scenes within the chapter), and similarly I would like to chat with an entire act (all chapters and scenes within the act).

I'd love to select tag based chapters/scenes for writing a novel with parallel plots. Right now the context is limited to a single scene and the previous chapters which happen to be in a different plotline.

It was only during a recent NovelCrafter webinar that I discovered the function of the "Context" button in the Chat tab. Very useful I thought. I could ask AI to give me some opinions or ideas on a particular chapter, or a chapter in progress, but soon discovered that the Context button only allows a single scene, (You cannot select more than one scene as a time, and the entire novel or a full novel outline. I see that it can use Codex entries, but it seems that needs some sort of coding or special prompt to get that going. This might be a workaround, albeit a bit obscure and counter-intuitive.
So I add my voice to a request for further options to the Context Button in Chat

Multi-scene workshop chat would be terrific, because lots of times I need 2 or 3 scenes but don't want to waste AI time on the full Novel Outline

Select Multiple Scenes to Chat with AI

In having a conversation with AI, i noticed that either only 1 scene could be selected at a time, or the entire book has to be selected in order to chat about a specific item. It would be nice to have an option to select which scenes to discuss, especially if the scenes are not next to each other.

I would like to be able to chat about multiple scenes at the same time, i.e. select more than one scene to include in the AI chat.

Sometimes, it would be helpful to be able to select multiple Scenes or Chapters when selecting the Context options for the Chat, rather than just one scene or the Whole Thing

When selecting Context in Chat, I'd love if we could limit the number of the scene summaries the AI is directed to reference for its response, vs. simply "Full Novel Outline".
Sometimes you do want the Full Novel context. But other times, you want
some
summaries, but only up to a particular chapter of the book. It would reduce token count, and help ensure the AI isn't referencing things we don't need or want included for a particular conversation.
A current workaround is copying scene summaries that we want included into a snippet, then directing the AI to reference the snippet, but that's a bit time-consuming.
Alternately, it could work if we were able to select multiple scenes for Context, vs. just one.
