There is an error saying it cannot open my novel, and that I should contact the owner of the novel. I am, of course, the owner. This does not inspire the most of confidence when you say you can't find my novel. Then when I wen tot chat, it wouldn't allow to ask any questions about it.

I'm getting this message too: Sorry, there was an error loading this novel.
We were unable to load this novel due to an internal server error. Please try again later.
I deleted several other novels but I can't delete old chats unless I can open up the novel. How can I open up my novel?

Appropriate Anteater Hi Gary, sorry for seeing this just now. Can you contact us at support@novelcrafter.com for this or have you been able to resolve it already?

This error can happen when too many chats are within the novel. So far this only happened to people that have used Novelcrafter extensively.
I'm working on loading chats as needed, so the initial load is not just faster, it will also not be hindered if a user has too much content.

spaceemotion, Thank you for fixing the error. I won't lie, after almost 3 months I had resigned myself that I would be unable to access it again. I saw that things loaded last night, and I took the opportunity to trim out most of the unnecessary older chats. Thank you for working the issue and I appreciate that not everyone is always kind about this sort of thing. Art is passion, and that drives some high emotions at times--some might say all the way to the stratosphere and beyond.

Hi there, taking a look at the log files it seems the novel has become too large to load for Novelcrafter. We're aware of this issue and are currently working on a fix for those that deal with really large projects.

spaceemotion. this is likely a product of extensive chat windows. I can easily go back and erase many of my early chats if that will help in the future. Thanks for the quick response.

Elderberry Raccoon It is indeed because of too many chats. I'm working on loading them in separately, only when they're needed. There's no need to load up older chats if they're not used for the session.

spaceemotion Is there a way to erase some of my earliest chat windows that would then give me access again? I could easily do cleanup from there. And it would prevent me waiting until you have to code a fix. Thanks!

spaceemotionI I'm guessing that's why I can't clone a novel I've been using to test Chat prompts (is 116 chats and 80+ snippets too many LOL).
FWIW, error is: Something went wrong. We were unable to create your novel: Unable to transform response from server.
I don't need most of the snippets or chat so will prune and try again.
