Chat window resizes, but text stops expanding.

Open Chat window, Pinned
Close other windows so only Write and Chat are open
Resize Chat window to maximum by dragging the resize control.
PROBLEM: initially the text in the chat window will grow wider as it should, but halfway through the window resize the chat text no longer expands.
I believe this behavior was introduced on the Oct 3 release. I have used this feature many times in the past and the chat window text expanded to the edges of the chat window.
