Export and re-import

Export and re-import (for instance, to create a new novel from existing material in a former novel) in Markdown and Word is faulty. When re-importing a novel into NC from a previous export, the hierarchy of Novel / Act / Chapter / Scenes is changed (without tweaking the import file): the Scenes are turned into Chapters, and the Scenes are then copied inside, which amounts to many chapters with just one scene in each + a blank scene.

I can live with either using Word or a text editor to modify the headings to align with the import requirements, although having to do it within the same program is absolutely absurd, but what I cannot live with is the loss of the scene subtitles. These are in a Lore Compendium that I want to copy to a new novel so I can add to it or update it, and in one section there are 77 scenes with subtitles. Going through the SAME PROGRAM there is no way to export and import where either A) I have to reapply all of the scene subtitles manually, or B) I have to create the structure (including scenes) again.
And let's talk about it requiring left aligned ** (there are other options, but none that align).
for a scene separator but can only export a centered
It is painful - it's like the left hand wrote one without talking to the right hand.

Maybe just have a duplicate option instead?

Balanced Sloth That would solve a lot, no... A LOT OF OUR ISSUES when making a new novel from current material. We can just have a button of "DELETE OUTLINE" to work on the new prose.

I found an error with the way act titles are handled during import - fix will be part of the next release.
This won't be a 1:1 re-import though, as potential scene subtitles are not picked up properly yet.

spaceemotion will this be only a text import, I.e a prose one, and not allowing codex? or will this be a full export import?

spaceemotion Can you support the Json import mode with a specific and certain grammar? I want import a book but failed because some of it has weird style in markdown.

Is that true? Can you provide guidance on how to properly re-import?
