We just shipped a new update which adds support for bullet and numbered lists in the Word / .docx exports.
Feel free to try it out with your document and report any bugs or if we missed something!

List in prose not included in export.

Several times, I've exported the my novel and I have a couple of lists in there. For some reason the neither the bulleted list or numbered list comes out in the export. it skips it entirely.

Export: Summaries with bullet points empty

Variable Elk
When exporting a summary that contains bullet points, these are not exported and just wind up missing. If there was nothing but bullet points in the summary, the summary is exported empty.

This is a known issue with the word export and is even shown inside the app when you pick the word format (see image).
Sadly, the way lists work inside of Word documents is quite difficult and requires a lot more work to cover all the edge cases (like: there's no real concept of a list inside of word, and it's all just paragraphs that happen to be indented).
One workaround you can use right now is to export the novel as HTML, and then open the HTML inside of word. This should show up all lists just fine :)

spaceemotion when you read that not all features are supported without it describing those features, and you see it many times, it is impossible to remember what it impacts. I too even filed a bug report over this because I did not make the connection. Either fix it, or make it clearer what is messed up. Missing text in a novel is a BAD thing.

spaceemotion This bug needs to get ESCALATED as it is a year old, and your workaround DOES NOT WORK. If you export as HTML, you do not get the
scene separators which are needed to then change them to
** for Atticus. So the workaround of exporting to HTML and then converting to .DOCX is invalid, because without scene separators Atticus imports the entire prose into a single chapter. Furthermore, we have to use a tool like Atticus because you do not have the strong formatting capabilities needed for eBooks, and you do not even have .EPUB exports.
We either need you to fix the issue with exporting bullet text - as difficult as it may be you can try using an AI to modify the code - or you can make it so that an HTML export keeps your scene separator configuration. Which, BTW, would be really useful to add ** as one because that is the industry standard.
