"I have a character who was previously a pov character but I removed him, when I hit 100 chapters. His name still appears when I go to choose a pov for a scene. It’s possible I can’t remove him."

Technically, you can unassign the characters by hand, but we fixed it so they just don't show - even if technically stored in the data.
