Add scene links to snippets

I like how GDocs implement comments. You can highlight some text, or a spot in the document and write a note or comment.
For me, something similar would be useful. I would like to be able to attach snippets this way and have a small visual element to the right with which you can expand what you've attached. It would be good for notes to yourself, comments from collaborators, or even codex entries which you want to possibly implement into the story at that point.
This is a bit different than OP which wants to link the scene to the snippet. I want to attach information to points in the writing.

Purple Gerbil: we already have a separate request for inline comments, if that's what you mean?

spaceemotion: Yes, it seems you are correct. I searched through the feedback for "comment" related feature requests but didn't see what you mentioned. Please link that request for me?

It would be super helpful when rewriting if a snippet could be assigned to a specific chapter or scene such that they showed up, say, beneath the scene synopsis on the right. If there were a "create scene snippet" option in this area, it would be very helpful for generating scene-specific notes and "to-dos" during a rewrite.

Agree completely. I had the same thought the last couple of days. In Write mode, it's great the way the synopsis and the Action options travel with the text and stay visible at all times.
At the same time, it would be really useful to be able to keep writer's notes visible in this area as well – which would really only need to be a snippet (or multiple snippets) that are linked to the specific scene and remain visible there.
The same goes for Chats with Scenes, which right now sit with the other chats in the Tinker area (and the chat list). A link to the specific chats could also be maintained under the Synopsis/Action options to the right of a scene in Write mode for easy reference.

Xanthic Locust: Agree with these points, though the "chat with this scene" menu item already shows you a list of chats that have the scene as context!

I was going to offer a similar suggestion. I would love to be able to tie a snippet to a scene. I like to leave notes for myself throughout my manuscript. If I can have a snippet link back to a specific point in a scene, then I would use the snippets function all the time.

Snippets right now have no link to the scene or chat they were created from.

That is why I am proposing the introduction of a 'clickable' placeholder feature in the manuscript's Write mode. This placeholder would represent a 'Snippet' that could link to a saved graphic element. The purpose of this feature is twofold: first, it serves as a reminder of the content or purpose of each Snippet, especially if it's associated with a graphic. Second, it ensures that I maintain an organized overview of where specific information or graphics are intended to be placed after the manuscript's export process.
