The vertical story timeline on the right is great; very useful.
Something that would make it even better is if it were color coded by Act, Chapter, Scene, and beat.
That would give a much better overview of the pacing AND make it easier to navigate because you'd have a better idea of what's where.

That's a cool feature! I can see a lot of creative ways to use that.
Just to be clear, my idea is to make that timeline ticks easier to get a fuller picture of the flow of the story. To my eye, all of the ticks look the same. I can't tell where a chapter begins nor how many scenes are in a chapter.
So, I was just looking for a way to make that obvious.
It could be by color as suggested or even by length, Like

I'm going to close this, even though it might not be exactly as you described. The timeline now shows highlighted text markers, which are color coded. As soon as comments get added to the mix those will be shown there, too.

I just realized that "beat" can have different meanings. There are high level beats that can span scenes and their are low level beats within a scene. The latter is what I was referring to. Though beats in the Story Timeline aren't as important as color coding Act, Chapter, Scene. I still think it could be useful.
