Universes

We need the ability to create Universes, a way to get codex "share" from one series to another. Also it would be easier if we could duplicate a series with ALL the codex to another one (when you use the "template" feature when creating another novel it doesn't take the codex, unless you move that novel to the series, and if you nest a codex entry only to a book, it won't do the thing).
This should be a basic feature in NC already :/ I've been proposing it since I started using it.

Rest assured that the staff has actually heard you. However, there are only two people that are working with the company. So it may take time to get things that are requested. And they've already got a list as it is so I can guarantee it's on the list of things just be patient and give them time to get to that part of the list.

There are similar feature requests for a universal series and/or allowing novels to belong to multiple series. I think many of these requests are a workaround for the missing import functionality. Space has mentioned a few times since the spring that big changes are being made in the backend to support new features. Until those changes are made, I can understand why creating an import function could be premature. It might takes days to create an import feature, delaying development in other areas, only to have to redo the work to revise/replace the import function later.

Elated Otter I am aware of the work it would take to make such a feature usable, for saying the least. I know that Universes would make AI create crazy stuff, since you'd have to specify what happens first, be careful with additions, progresion of story, etc (also a timeline feature would help with this issue, but I know, I know, I don't want to presure the team more haha).
Since Universes has been a thing in the features they want for novelcrafter since the very beginning, I think that was a given, yeah. But if that can't be done, I think at least duplicating a series and then change the name may be something doable. Just an idea in the meanwhile they give us the update with the feature.
Actually I say all this because when you use the template feature for a new novel, it copies EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE CODEX. I don't know if anyone used this before, and if Space could explain the use of this feature, and how does it use the codex one. (Seriously, it keeps even the snipets lol...)
Sorry for the long reply.
