No matter what I do, the General Purpose Non Fiction Prompt I set up does not work.

I have created a clone/copy of the General Purpose system message prompt so I can write non fiction, I have put in there all the instructions, but when I go to Writing and try to use codex or snippet so that it knows what non fiction I want to write, it doesn't work.
I am on a paid subscription now for nearly a week and I think the service for the price is a scam. I am very disappointed in Novelcrafter.

Hi there - Novelcrafter can definitely write non-fiction. We got people writing memoirs, blog articles and many other kinds of projects. What kind of issues are you running into? When you say "it doesn't work", are you getting an error message? Or is the AI writing like it still thinks it's fiction, etc.? More details will help.

spaceemotion thanks for getting back to me. okay so i go into the write tab, and the options are:
Scene Beat
Continue Writing
Codex Progression
I then select the General Purpose Non fiction system prompt I created, but it gives me no option to Tweak and Generate or to apply the Global Codex options.
Only the General Purpose Fiction does but then it writes my non-fiction as a story.
Can you guide me through what I should check in the Prompt?
